Muxunav, the Navarre FinTech leader in the vending market, launches an app to take payments by card, Bizum, Apple Pay or Google Pay with no need for a POS terminal: you just have to go to a website to do it. It is aimed at the self-employed and SMEs.
Muxunav is a Navarre engineering firm specialising in the development of hardware and software for digital payment systems that has just launched a novel electronic payment method that lets self-employed workers turn their phone into a virtual card reader.
The aim is to offer the more than three million self-employed workers in our country a more convenient and efficient way to manage their services.
According to the Mobile & Connectivity study, 82.2% of those surveyed say they know and use QR codes. At the same time, digital wallets or mobile payment solutions are gaining traction. 42% of the Spanish population already pays by holding their phone up to the terminal.
Faced with this new scenario, LaKuenta is born.
What LaKuenta is
LaKuenta offers self-employed workers an alternative to cash payment, avoiding the risk of theft or loss of money and, at the same time, eliminating the drawbacks of using a card reader by offering its customers a smooth, fast and secure way to pay.
The digital payment method developed by Muxunav works through a website, with no need to download an app, and allows access via mobile, tablet or PDA.
In addition, it offers a great advantage when it comes to improving the management of self-employed workers’ work: the automatic generation of the invoice for download.
Easy to use and commission-free
It is very simple and intuitive to use. The user goes to the www.lakuenta.es website, enters the amount for the product or service they want to charge for and the system directly generates a QR code that the customer scans with their phone’s camera.
Once they access the website to make the payment, the customer selects one of the four most widely used methods: bank card, Bizum, Google Pay or Apple Pay.
LaKuenta does not charge fees on the transactions carried out, only a basic monthly fee for the use of the service.
However, the LaKuenta holder must pay the fee required by the payment method chosen by the customer: 0% in the case of commercial Bizum and 0.30% for bank card, Google Pay and Apple Pay.
Coinciding with the launch, Muxunav has signed a collaboration agreement with the Spanish Association of Self-Employed Workers —ATA— in order to offer its 280,000 members special conditions when signing up for LaKuenta.
