In May, Muxunav launched LaKuenta, its electronic payment method aimed at the self-employed. A solution that makes it possible to turn the phone into a virtual card reader.

The Navarre company Muxunav S.L. has been selected from among more than 141 projects for B-Venture 2021, the biggest entrepreneurship event in northern Spain.
In a year with record participation, the Navarre company will present its new developments in the vending sector at the largest entrepreneurial event in the northern area and one of the most important in the country, to be held on 19 and 20 October at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao.
Since its creation, Muxunav has invested more than €700,000 in the development of technological devices that enable the connectivity and digitisation of vending machines, contributing to the circular and sustainable economy in a sector niche with millions of transactions a year.
In addition, the Navarre company has launched anti-Covid projects in the sector, such as contactless selection and payment —contactless— through patented modules that make it possible to use augmented reality on the products to be bought from the buyer’s phone, offering additional product information.
Muxunav is the only Navarre company selected to take part in the B-Venture event in its 2021 edition. In addition, 11 companies from Bizkaia, three from Gipuzkoa and two from Álava were chosen. The rest come from Madrid, Barcelona and Cantabria.
The proposals belong mostly to the industrial sector, although those related to health and the internet also have a notable presence. There are also projects linked to training, fintech, food, mobility, fashion and video games.
Being selected for this event gives access to a training session that will be given at the University of Deusto with top-level speakers during September and up until the event takes place.
Presentation of projects
“It is a great opportunity to showcase our latest Telmarkt modules and new projects, such as ‘Contactless payment and selection and augmented reality for vending machines’, within the most demanding entrepreneurial ecosystem. It has certainly been a pleasant surprise to be selected from among more than 140 companies from all sectors —biotechnology, medicine, computing…—. There was a very high level, from what we have been told. It is a great opportunity that I am sure we are going to make the most of”, says Antonio Torres, CEO of Muxunav.
All the selected companies will have the chance to present their projects to around fifty representatives of venture capital funds, financial institutions, business angels, private investors or heads of accelerators and large corporations.
Delegates from major companies interested in contracting new services from innovative companies will also attend.
In addition, the event has scheduled a multitude of international conferences related to the creation and growth of new companies, as well as a round table on investment in Latin America with Erik Díaz, of Blacksiip Mexico, and representatives of Amexcap, InvestBogota, the Chilean Venture Capital Association —ACVC— or ColCapital of Colombia.
The macro-event has the sponsorship of the Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment of the Basque Government, the development agency SPRI, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the Bilbao City Council.
It also has the collaboration of the Port of Bilbao, BStartup by Banco Sabadell, BBK, Laboral Kutxa, CaixaBank and the University of Deusto.
