Navarre company Muxunav wins the National ‘Titans of Finance’ Award for its innovation

The Navarre company Muxunav, specialising in hardware and software for unattended payment systems, has been honoured with the 2025 National ‘Titans of Finance’ Award in the Innovation category, granted by the Ecofin Forum and the MadFinTech cluster. It is the first time this award has gone to a company from the region. Muxunav, a Navarre company specialising in the development of hardware and software for unattended payment systems, has been recognised with one of the Ecofin 2025 Awards, having been chosen by the jury among the most outstanding companies of the year, as the organisation itself reported in a press release.

The big surprise came when it emerged that, in addition to the jury’s recognition, Muxunav has been honoured with the National Titans of Finance Award, in the Innovation category, granted by the Ecofin (Economy and Finance) Forum and the Madrid Fintech Cluster (MadFinTech). “The aim of these awards is to recognise the effort, innovation and resilience of companies, institutions and professionals that drive Spain’s economic transformation,” the organisation explained.

For the first time to a company from the region

“It is not the same to win the jury’s award —which was already unthinkable for us— as to be given the national award in the Innovation category. This prize had never before been awarded to a Navarre company”, they stress from the company’s management.

The award was presented this Tuesday during The Night of Finance, the traditional gala organised by Ecofin and MadFinTech at the Hotel Palace in Madrid. During the event, business, financial and technology leaders from across the country gathered to celebrate innovation and talent in the country’s economic ecosystem.

Who is Muxunav?

Based in Navarre, Muxunav is a technology engineering firm — with its own hardware, software and connectivity solutions.

Its main product, Telmarkt, makes it possible to turn existing machines into smart devices that accept payments by QR, Bizum, card or contactless. They also provide real-time information on sales, stock or equipment status.

The company led by Antonio Torres is a pioneer in Spain in introducing Bizum payments via QR on unattended terminals. This company also combines innovation, telemetry and a vertical technology model -design, manufacturing and financial operations-, which “has made it a benchmark in the sector”, this businessman recalls.

500,000 transactions a month

Its devices currently process more than 500,000 transactions a month, with a forecast of exceeding three million a year in 2026. This is how they expect to consolidate their growth in Europe and Latin America next year.

Other award winners

For their part, at this Tuesday’s gala in Madrid there were other winners, such as Manuel Illueca Muñoz, president of the ICO (Official Credit Institute), with the Financier of the Year Award.

Atresplayer and Telemadrid won the jury’s awards in the Communication category, and Iker Jiménez, journalist, won the main Communication award for his Cuatro programme Horizonte.

José María Irisarri Núñez, founding partner and executive chairman of Onza.tv, won the Image of Spain Award for the series El Ministerio del Tiempo; and General José De Meer and General David Blanes of the Guardia Civil were also recognised, for the Army Brand.
